Agnesian HealthCare Volunteer Services awards nine scholarships

Nine area students who intend to pursue careers in health care have been awarded scholarships from Agnesian HealthCare.

The Agnesian HealthCare Volunteer Services has awarded six from the Fond du Lac area with the Waupun Memorial Hospital Volunteers giving three.

Scholarship recipients were chosen from among area high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in health care.

Award recipients include:

  • Calvin Grass is a recipient of the Agnesian HealthCare Volunteer Services $2,000 scholarship. He is a senior at St. Mary Springs Academy and plans to pursue an orthopedic surgeon or pathologist degree at the University of Notre Dame. His parents are Brenda and Michael Grass.
  • Drew Mueller is the winner of the Agnesian HealthCare Volunteer Services $2,000 scholarship. He is a senior at Fond du Lac High School and plans to attend Carroll University. He is pursuing a degree in occupational therapy. His parents are Daniel and Rhonda Mueller.
  • Abigail Bartlett is the winner of the Agnesian HealthCare Volunteer Services $2,000 scholarship. She is a senior at the Central Wisconsin Christian School. She plans to attend Oklahoma Baptist University to pursue a career in nursing. Her parents are Joel and Michelle Bartlett.
  • Alexis Tebon is the winner of the Agnesian HealthCare Volunteer Services $2,000 scholarship. She is a senior at Ripon High School. She plans to attend Carroll University to pursue a physical therapy degree. Her parents are Craig and Jayne Tebon.
  • Luke Schaefer is the recipient of the $2,000 Agnesian HealthCare Foundation scholarship. He is a senior at Fond du Lac High School. He plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point to pursue a career as a dietitian. His parents are Kristine and Matt Schaefer.
  • Aubryn De Jager is the winner of the $1,000 Agnesian HealthCare technical scholarship. She is a senior at the Central Wisconsin Christian High School. She plans to attend the Madison Area Technical College to pursue a career as an occupational therapy assistant. Her parents are Gary and Katie De Jager.
  • Bryce Leedle is a recipient of the Waupun Memorial Hospital Volunteers $1,000 scholarship. He is a senior at the Markesan High School. He plans to attend the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota to pursue a career as an orthopedic surgeon. His parents are Bernard and Jill Leedle.
  • Zoe Nelson is a recipient of the Waupun Memorial Hospital Volunteers $1,000 scholarship. Zoe is a senior at Lomira High School. She plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison and pursue a career as a medical doctor. Zoe’s parents are Dawn and Ross Nelson.
  • Brady Gerritson is a recipient of the Waupun Memorial Hospital Volunteers $1,000 scholarship. He is a senior at the Waupun High School. He plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison to pursue a career as a nurse anesthetist. His parents are Erick and Melanie Gerritson.
