Agnesian HealthCare celebrates clinic construction in Mt. Calvary

Agnesian HealthCare continues to build off its long-term history in Mt. Calvary with the construction of a new 5,350-square-feet facility, slated to open later this fall.

The new facility, 100 Evergreen Road, will feature the services of Jeffrey Strong, MD, Fond du Lac Regional Clinic family medicine physician. Dr. Strong has been serving patients in Mt. Calvary for more than 25 years. In total, the clinic will be able to accommodate two Fond du Lac Regional Clinic providers, as well as separate office space for Mt. Calvary Dental, which Thomas Gietman, DDS, now operates at the current location.

Agnesian HealthCare and area residents came together on July 27 to celebrate the construction with a brief program and tree planting ceremony.

“As you are aware, Agnesian HealthCare has a long established relationship with the Mt. Calvary community serving individuals and families through Dr. Strong since 1984,” says Dennis Yunk, Agnesian HealthCare senior vice president/clinic administrator. “The people of Mt. Calvary are justifiably proud of this community. We are honored to have served you for all these years, and want to recognize this loyalty to us in way which is responsive to local needs.”

The Fond du Lac Regional Clinic portion will feature four exam rooms; two procedure rooms; a spacious waiting room with special children’s area; expanded, accessible parking; and a main entrance canopy to protect visitors from inclement weather. It will also offer laboratory and X-ray services. As a result, the clinic can perform a variety of imaging procedures and lab tests with same day results.

Agnesian HealthCare is working with PTD Inc., Fond du Lac, for the building’s architectural work, and C.D. Smith Construction as the general contractor for the $1.5 million project.

“While we are excited about the many possibilities this new clinic brings to Mt. Calvary, we also recognize that healthcare is about more than a building,” says Dr. Strong. “A building is just a building. What it takes is a staff.

“What it takes is a commitment of a group of physicians supported by a healthcare system represented by Agnesian HealthCare,” Dr. Strong adds. “Through this partnership, we are able to provide quality care and specialize in preventive medicine and patient education. But more than anything - as appropriately mentioned in the mission of Agnesian HealthCare - we are able to provide compassionate care for the patients in the community.”

Dr. Gietman joined Agnesian HealthCare for the construction celebration.

“Having a new office gives us the opportunity to offer the people of Mt. Calvary and the surrounding area a state-of-the-art dental treatment center with the latest in technology and treatment options,” says Dr. Gietman. “We have always enjoyed a great relationship with Agnesian HealthCare and would like to thank them for inviting us to come along and be a part of this exciting new facility."
