Effective Wednesday, June 17, Agnesian HealthCare will be implementing a new visitor policy and expectations across all locations (this does not affect our long-term care facilities). This update comes as the ministry continues into the recovery phase and maintains appropriate precautions to ensure patient and visitor safety throughout its facilities.
Patients will be allowed one visitor or support person that meet the following criteria. Women & Infants will allow one support person. Visitors must be over the age of 18 and pass a health screening (including temperature) at the door. They are also required to maintain social distancing and cover their nose and mouth with a face covering while on-site.
Patients will be asked to designate one visitor for the duration of their stay. Exceptions will be made in end-of-life situations. Women & Infants will allow one support person.
While in our facilities, visitors must perform frequent hand hygiene, wear face coverings at all times, maintain social distancing, touch limited surfaces, remain in patient room/exam room as appropriate, limit interactions and movements within and outside the facility, and limit personal belongings.
