We know that the cost of medical care can be a concern for you, and we are prepared to help. Our financial advisors will provide you with information about your own insurance coverage and about payment options for your portion of the bill. We hope this assistance will alleviate some of your concerns and help you focus on our first priority, which is your good health.
Billing If your insurance carrier requires notification of your care or admission to the hospital, please call them immediately or have a family member do so.
If financial questions come up during your stay, or if you need help paying your medical bill, please let us know. Our financial advisors will direct you to the proper sources for assistance.
If you have insurance, Medicare or Medicaid, we will submit a claim for you. Account balances are payable in full 30 days from your date of service or the date we have received payment from your insurance, Medicare or Medicaid.
Depending on the type of care you receive during your stay, you may receive a separate bill from a radiologist or pathologist or any non-Agnesian HealthCare provider.
Registration & Admission Our assistance begins with your registration at the clinic or admission to the hospital. If yours is a planned hospitalization, you will be called prior to your arrival at the hospital for pre-registration. This allows us to gather pertinent information so that your admission can proceed more efficiently when you arrive.
Payment Options If your insurance coverage includes a co-pay, we request you make this payment at the time you register. If your insurance coverage includes a deductible and/or co-insurance provision that will result in a balance due from you, we will request payment or arrangement for payment of the unpaid balance. Our terms are payment in full 30 days from your date of service or the date your insurance paid. If you need other arrangements for payment, we can help by reviewing several options for payment. You may choose one of the following options, or combine two or more, to best meet your own needs and preferences.
Cash, check, or credit card payments are accepted. Extended financing through bank notes: For those patients who wish to make payments over a longer period of time, Agnesian HealthCare offers an alternative financing program through several local financial institutions. We can provide you with more information about this option, which offers a reasonable interest rate. Interest-free, short-term financing: Agnesian HealthCare will extend interest-free, short-term financing for your portion of the bill. For balances of $300 or under, we will set up three equal monthly installments. For balances of $301 or more, we will set up six equal monthly installments. These arrangements can be made through our billing office.
